As you saw, the French Minister of Culture, Madame Christine Albanel dropped by on the opening of the 34th FIAC [Paris International Contemporary Art Fair] on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, in the Cour Carée of the Louvre Museum.

The FIAC is one of 180 worldwide modern art fairs, but it's major modern art fair in Paris and already has five other satellites - at the almost same time, several others contemporary art fairs are opening in Paris:

Also, a new gallery opens the same day as FIAC : Le Laboratoire, 4 rue Bouloi, 75001 Paris, Gmap M° Louvre-Rivoli, opens on October 17, 2007 and lots of arts exhibits like Pression à froid [October 16 - 23, 2007] -  13 artists, 13 curators  exhibit realized cooperatively by 13 fine arts students from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, and 13 soon-to-be-curators who have for the past year worked on the exhibition as part of a Masters degree in Professional Practice of Art History, at Paris IV-Sorbonne, took place these days.
